Verbatim Reporting

STTRs Direct specialise in verbatim reporting to assist the deaf and hard of hearing in professional situations. Verbatim reporting helps to improve communication between deaf and hearing people and ensures the hard of hearing do not miss important information.

To undertake verbatim reporting we use either palantyping or more often stenography where words are typed phonetically and translated by a computer for display either publicly or privately. All our verbatim reporting specialists are trained to the highest standard with recognition from a number of organisations, including RNID, BIVR, CACDP and UKCoD. They have all completed the obligatory 4 years as a court reporter as well.
